PROCESS 2: LIQUID USING RO WATER
- Step 1: Rinse the stevia leaves and remove any stems.
- Step 2: Pat the leaves dry and crush them by hand into a food container or jar. Tip: Use 1/4 cup of crushed stevia leaves not powder for 1 cup of simple syrup.
- Step 3: Cover the stevia leaves with 1 cup of RO water. Steep the leaves at room temperature for 48 hours.
- Step 4: Strain the syrup through a sieve lined with cheesecloth. Add the stevia syrup for taste to drinks, sauces, glazes or any other liquid that needs sweetening at the finish. You can boil the syrup for 10 minutes to make it thicker. You will be left over with coffee color liquid ready to use.
